Frequently asked questions
What is Sigilla?
Sigilla is an app for practising modern witchcraft day to day: drawing a tarot card and reflecting on it, following rituals step by step, knowing the phase of the Moon and keeping a private grimoire. Its texts present traditions, as supports for reflection.
Is Sigilla free?
Yes. Sigilla is free, without advertising and without in-app purchases. A Premium offer is in preparation; everything Sigilla offers today stays free, the complete export of your data included.
Does Sigilla predict the future?
No. Sigilla predicts nothing and is no substitute for medical, psychological or legal advice. Cards, rituals and lunar associations are presented in Sigilla as traditions and supports for reflection, with no measurable effect claimed. For a question of health, Sigilla points to a qualified professional.
Where do your words live?
In Sigilla, your grimoire is private: only your account can read it. The data is hosted at OVH, in the European Union; photos and backups are encrypted and kept at Cloudflare R2, also in the European Union. Sigilla counts your actions only if you accept it, without ever reading your texts, and keeps those counts thirteen months; no advertising network, no third-party analytics toolkit.
From what age can Sigilla be used?
Sigilla asks for the digital consent age of your country: fifteen in France, between thirteen and sixteen elsewhere. The date of birth and the country are used only to check that age and are shown on no screen. Below that age, Sigilla refuses the account and keeps nothing.
How do you delete your account?
In Sigilla, deleting takes three taps from Settings: Data, Delete my account, then the confirmation. The account is paused at once; for 14 days, signing in and tapping “Reactivate” brings it back as it was; after that everything is erased. Without access to the app, an email to contact@sigilla-app.com from the account's address is enough.
In which languages does Sigilla exist?
Sigilla exists in French and in English. The app follows the phone's language and can be changed at any time in Settings › Language; what you have written stays as it is, in the language you wrote it in.
Which phones does Sigilla run on?
Sigilla is coming to Android, from Android 10 onwards, through Google Play, and to iPhone through the App Store. There is no web version of Sigilla.
